The Chase (Andreas Toral tier-up)

Andreas Toral was normally a laid-back and calm person. But right now, as he rode swiftly through a forest on the Endaron and Mondolin border with magical blasts destroying foliage all around him as he went, Andreas needed to be serious for just a moment. He had spotted his tail not long after he left Calixto, and though he had hoped it was simply brigands that were haring after him, the magical blasts that turned vibrant greenery into lifeless husks of bark were telling a more chilling tale. Andreas was on his way to Gateway Harbour to attempt to get an audience with the Eldari, namely Mariel Shor. Mariel's daughter, Fayla, had been critically injured in the forests near Serenity Valley, in an apparent attept to silence her before she spread word of what she witnessed in there. Andreas had a particular soft spot for both Fayla and Valatrix of the Hornless Clan, since he had made their acquaintance a while back. They were friends of his daughter, Lilian, though in the case of Fayla, Andreas suspected there was something more between them. Andreas was just happy that Lilian was happy. Fayla and Vala seemed like good people, and he would be damned if he was gonna let Fayla die on his watch. Mariel was not only good acquaintance of Andreas in Eldari lands, but she was also one of the most skilled magical healers on the continent. Given that conventional medicine was unable to wake Fayla from her unconscious state, magic was needed and quickly. He worried for a moment about Lilian, knowing that she would also be pursued by a rider on her way to Sunshield Hold, but he assured himself that Lilian was faster, brighter and a far better fighter than him. She would be fine.

Andreas rounded a large rock and was caught with a magical blast on the shoulder. The sudden jolt of pain he felt caused him to lose his grip on the reins of his steed and he fell from his saddle. As he fell, his brain went into overdrive. Drawing Castamir, Andreas fired the grappling hook at a passing tree to slow his speed, though he still smashed through a bush and landed in a heap nearby. Coughing, Andreas looked to his horse and gestured to run. "Run Roach! Go!" Andreas stood up slowly as Roach continued on his journey and turned to face his pursuer, hoping that a patrol would spot his horse and come to investigate. A cloaked and robed individual emerged from the brush on a horse, and dismounted abruptly. Andreas had hoped that crossing into Endaron would dissuade his pursuer, but evidently his death was more important than diplomatic consequences. He loaded another grapple hook into his hammer, before stowing it and drawing Hailstorm. He aimed the weapon at his assailant, and spoke with an even tone. "I don't know who you are, but I am Knight-Lieutenant Andreas Toral of the Knights of Mondolin. Your attack is an act of aggression against the Kingdom of Mondolin, and I am prepared to defend myself and my kingdom... to the death if necessary." He narrowed his eyes at his foe. "So please, stand down."

He rode fast, the human who would defy Aristorath's great plan. But he would not escape Lazarus, who landed a lucky shot and dropped the man from his saddle. Lazarus leap from his horse and landed heavily on his feet. He was over just shy of seven feet, all bulk and muscle and power. A hammer hung at his hip in place of the weaker necromancers chosen staff, but he was still an able spell caster. He just liked to get his hands dirty, and killing someone in mistress Ariella's name was even more enticing. Lazarus drew his hammer as the man stood up to face him. The man drew a crossbow and pointed it at him, before telling him that he was a knight of mondolin. Lazarus laughed.

"I know what you are, knight, and honestly I don't care. My mistress requested I smash your face in with my hammer for the Great plan, and I'm happy to oblige. your minutes are numbered, old man, so pray to your gods and consider surrendering. If you do, I'll make it quick." He said, pacing. "Look on the bright side, the heanta and Eldari are probably already dead, and your girl is not long for this world. Big happy reunion in Novaris, yeah." He waited for the man's answer, before bringing his hand around to fire a weak blast of dark magic before rushing to close with the man. Lazarus brought his hammer down in a head crunching swing, hoping to end it in a single strike.

Andreas' grip tightened on his weapon as the man dismounted from his steed, revealing just how big he actually was. When Vala told him about the necromancers, Andreas expected scrawny bookish types, not some seven foot tall hulk. The large man drew a mean-looking warhammer and promptly dismissed Andreas' credentials and warnings with disdain. As the large man paced, he then told Andreas that his instructions to kill the Knight of Mondolin were part of the Great Plan that they apparently liked to drone on about, before offering Andreas a chance to surrender. Andreas shook his head with a grim expression on his face. "You want me dead? You're going to have to work for it." The man then promised to unite Andreas with Fayla, Vala and Lilian in Novaris, and the Knight decided he had had enough. "Does the Great Plan usually involve talking this much?"

The hulking necromancer then made his move, firing a small blast of magic, just as Andreas fired a bolt from his crossbow. Andreas dived to the side to avoid the magic blast, rolling to his feet quickly. Seeing the huge man advancing quickly with his weapon raised to strike, Andreas sighed and willed his limbs into action. "I knew I should have stretched." The necromancer's hammer came down, and Andreas activated his Rampart ability. A metallic tower shield formed from thin air, attached to his forearm. He raised the shield up to stop the hammer blow, though the force of the strike still reverberated throughout his body and large cracks appeared across the surface from the point of contact. Using his entire body to push the weapon up, Andreas shrank his crossbow into his wrist slot, drew his hammer, and swung it at the man's abdomen one-handed in one fluid motion before jumping back out of range. He knew he wasn't going to win a stand-up fight against a foe as strong as this one. His only hope was to find an opportunity to escape. He wasn't going to let Lilian and Fayla down by dying here.

The man asked him if the great plan involved all the talking and he snorted. "Worst thing about working with cultists, they never stop talking about the great plan." The man blocked his warhammer with a metal shield, before swinging back. He blocked the attack with his own hammer and swung his fist at the shield, unleashing a blast of dark energy. The man backed away and he grinned. "Don't think about running away, old man." He said, circling to the left, trying to get around him. He flexed his arms, stretched his neck and grinned. He lived for this shit. Smashing people with hammers. It was why Ariella had asked him to come work for her. Sure, the dark magic Aristerath infused into him was a bonus, but there was nothing quite like ending lives with a wet crunch.

He dashed in, swinging his hammer down to smash that shield, before aiming a kick towards the old man's gut, intending to throw his balance off. If he succeed with the kick he would swing an upper cut to the chin, to knock the old man's block off. If the kick missed, he would instead follow it up with a left to right swing to cover himself before backing off.

The necromancer replied with a gripe about having to work with cultists that talked too much, and Andreas put on a look of mock-indignation. "I'm hurt. They didn't bother sending an actual cultist after me, just some errand boy." Andreas was alone without backup, and the other guy had a large hammer. Pissing him off was the smart thing to do. The man blocked Andreas' swing with his own weapon, before his fist connected with Andreas' shield with a blast of energy. The shield held barely, with the cracks becoming more pronounced. As he jumped away, he heard the large man try to warn him from running away. "Wouldn't dream of it. Though you look like you could use the run around." Again, because pissing off the already pissed off crazed hammer-man was Eldari-level in tactical nous.

The hammer-man surged forward and swung downwards, forcing Andreas to jump aside as he had no dedsire to have his skeletal structure rattled again. The dodge left him open to a solid kick to the gut, which doubled him over. He saw an uppercut coming his chin's way, and he just got his shield in the way of the impact. The force shattered the shield completely, and enough force got through to send Andreas sliding backwards a couple of feet. The man backed off a bit, giving Andreas a second to contemplate his next move. He decided on something that was equal parts brilliant and stupid. Using his Ricochet ability, he conjured up a trio of extremely bouncy spring-steel panels. Two were put directly behind him, one hovering a couple of inches above the ground, the other further back and about ten feet in the air. The third panel was standing vertically and positioned no more than a foot behind the hammer-man. Andreas then lunged forward, chambering a hammer swing of his own. Just as he got to within roughly ten feet of the hammer-man, Andreas used his Repulse ability. A blast of pure concussive force was expelled from Andreas in all directions, knocking anything back that wasn't anchored down.

The aim was to knock the man back into the Ricochet panel behind him, and thus hopefully forcing him to bounce forward unexpectedly. If this worked, Andreas would swing with all of his might at the man's midriff with Castamir. Either way, Andreas would then turn and run, jumping onto his panels one after the other, and launching himself high into the thick canopy. What Andreas had failed to factor in, however, was just how thick the canopy was. As soon as he was airborne, he was was blind to any obstacles in his path. Unfortunately, these obstacles included the trunk of a particular tall oak. He smashed into it with velocity, a collision that caused minor damage in and of itself. The descent, on the other hand, was far less innocuous. He hurtled towards Asmir firma, firing his hammer's grapple hook towards anything that might slow him down. No such luck. He crashed through several thick branches, before landing in a thick brush. Dazed, Andreas stood up, and peered carefully back the way he came, hoping his pursuer did not see where he had crashed.

His hammer blow shattered Andreas' shield and sent the old man sliding away. Sizing up the old man he waited to see what would come his way, but the old man hesistated, afraid. "Come on old man, don't get sh-." A blast of force hit him in the chest and sent him flying back, where he hit something and bounced forward uncontrollably straight into Andreas' hammer. The blow buckled him over and caused his last meal to exlode up out o his mouth. Andreas turned and ran, leaving him gasping for breath and spitting out the last of his lunch. Forcing himself to his feet, he lept onto the pad Andreas used to escape, flying after the man. A tree came hurtling towards his face, and he unleashed a blast of dark energy from his hand, ripping the tree apart. Hitting another tree feet first, he let himself fall towards the ground, landing heavily in the underbrush.

"Come on out, you old fucker." He roared, unleashing wave of dark energy into the trees around him. The necrotic forces caused the trees and shrubbery to wither and die, rapidly turning them to dust. He spotted movement as Andreas stood up, and grinned, charging towards him with wreckless abandon, swinging his hammer wildly from left to right, whipping it up over his head and back down into a crushing overhead. He turned the downward swing into an uppercut, but also stepped in and brought his fist up in a follow up, aimed for the chin to knock the old man off his feet.

Andreas locked eyes with his pursuer and realized that the large had indeed seen where he had crash landed, and the dead foliage around him indicated that he was less than happy about it too. The large man grinned before rushing forward, swinging his weapon with reckless disregard for his surroundings. Andreas backed away from the swings, before being forced to roll to the side as the man suddenly lunged forward with a downward hammer strike. The swing immediately turned into a vicious uppercut, which skinned Andreas' nose as he stepped back. He was a just a touch slower with his next move, as the following uppercut caught him cold under the chin. Andreas was knocked off his feet and sailed backwards a few yards before crashing to the ground.

Andreas rolled to his feet, his jaw already starting to inflame from the impact it just sustained. Much more of that, he thought, and I'm done for. He decided to go on the offensive, hoping the large man's defense wasn't as overwhelming as his offense. Andreas surged forward, and swung his weapon two-handed at his opponent's midsection. He followed up with a pair of horizontal swings, and a downward swing to his opponent's dome before jumping back out of range.

His uppercut sent the man sprawling, garnering a laugh from the Thug. "Get up!" He said, hefting his weapon as the old man righted himself and hefted his own hammer. The man charged in and aimed a two handed swing to the gut. The Thug stepped back letting the swing whip past, which the old man turned into two horizontal swings, the first of which missed, but the second impacted with his side, just under his arm as he tried to defend. The old man followed up with a downward swing, which the Thug blocked by bringing this hammer up in a two handed grip to catch the shaft at the side, allowing him to knock the swing wide. He followed up, a bit stiffly, by throwing his other hand forward, attempting to slam the rear of the handle into the old man's face.

Hit or miss, he used the close proximity to try hook the head of his weapon against the old man's shoulder or neck, and wrench him forward to take him off his feet. If that succeeded, he would attempt to slam the hammer down onto the man's spine and hopefully break his back. If it failed he would instead attempt to bull rush the man and plant his shoulder in his gut, before attempting to lift the old man off his feet and throw him over his shoulder.

Andreas' flurry failed to yield any helpful results. His opponent dodged the first couple of swings, and though the next swing connected with the man's side, he produced no discernible damage from it. The downward swing was blocked solidly, with the reverberations shaking his entire body to the core. The large man then shunted Andreas' weapon aside, and caught him flush in the side of the head with the butt of his own weapon. Andreas spun through, though his brain seemed to spin faster than the rest of him from the impact, before finding his opponent's weapon attempting to snag his shoulder and pull him to the ground. Andreas shrugged off the attempted hook, but then found his opponent charging low, attempting to spear Andreas in the gut with his shoulder.

Thinking quickly and letting his frustration at being delayed helping his daughter and her friends dictate things to an extent, Andreas braced and took the impact of the tackle, but then clamped his arm hard around the large man's neck, attempting to lock in a front facelock. If he succeeded in establishing a grip, Andreas then threw himself onto his back, maintaining his grip and attempting to drive his opponent's head into the ground. If he succeeded, Andreas would roll to his feet quickly and attempt to drop an elbow on the man to keep him down a bit longer, before taking off into the woods. If the attempt to drive the man's head into the ground failed, Andreas would instead try to take the man by surprise by leaping up and attempting to roundhouse the man in mid-air, before taking off into the forest anyway.

Lazarus knocked the old man spinning with the rear of his hammer, and where his attempt to hook and fling the man failed, his bullrush succeeded. He planted his shoulder in Andreas' gut, and attempted to lift him off his feet. The old man dropped his weight though, catching his head in a tight grip before falling backwards to drive Lazarus' head into the ground. The impact sent vibrations down his spine and the world began to spin, as the old man climbed to his feet before dropping an elbow into his back, which knocked the wind out of the thug. He heard footsteps retreating into the forest.

Groaning, he pushed himself to his feet with surprising effort. He had clearly underestimated the old man. Lazarus picked up his hammer, hand reaching towards the crystal attached to his belt. If he used it, there was no going back. Lady Ariella had warned him that it was not a toy. He pulled his hand away and huffed in a deep breath, filling his lungs. Fucking old bastard. He took off after the old man, running as fast as he could, which turned out to be faster than the old man. As he caught up to him, he wound back his arm and let his hammer fly, the weapon spinning violently through the air towards the old man's leg.

Hit or miss, Lazarus picked up his pace, dark energy enveloping his fists as he closed the last few feet and attempted to slam his hand into the old man's back, or chest, depending on wether he'd turned to fight or not. He aimed a flurry of blows, Jabs, hooks and finished with a mighty uppercut, which also ended the infusion of dark energy around his fists.

Andreas ran as hard as his limbs would allow. It wasn't the pace of his youth, but he was making good ground. Or so he thought. He could see the edge of the forest ahead, the sun's gleam reflecting warmly from the lush green lands of Endaron. Soon, he would be able to get help and return to his daughter. But Andreas knew things wouldn't be that easy. He was close, but his pursuer was closer. A hard impact to his left leg jarred him back to reality, and Andreas felt a sharp pain in his leg that stood out from the other pains that he was experiencing as his sprint turned into a haphazard tumble through the foliage. He groaned as he rolled to a stop and took inventory of his accumalated damage.

Gazing up at the break in the trees, Andreas hauled himself up to his feet and turned to see where his pursuer was, and was met with a solid palm strike to the chest. The blow was enhanced with some kind of dark energy, and he was sent forcefully flying backwards. The blow knocked Andreas out of the cover of the trees and he tumbled across grass-covered ground. He got to his feet and was immediately forced to duck and weave to evade a litany of pucnhes from varying angles, before another charged punch caught him under the chin and sent Andreas flying backwards, and he landed on his back.

Andreas got to his feet shakily and regarded his foe. The Knight took several deep breaths, his leg feeling like it was on fire. He raised his weapon, and considered his options. He had come too far and he had too much at stake to die here now, but he was unsure how he could overcome an enemy as strong as this. Fortunately, the game was about to change. A sound of hooves galloping on the plains behind him made him turn, and he took a breath of relief. A small group of mounted troops approached quickly, with Roach in tow. The troops stopped several yards short of Andreas and trained their bows on both men. The lead Eldari spoke clearly to the two interlopers.

"Both of you, stand down and explain your presence here." Andreas lowered his hammer and stowed it on its harness. "I have traveled here from Calixto, to get help from Coucilor Mariel Shor. Her daughter is in grave danger." The Eldari studied him for a moment, before gesturing to Roach. "I presume this is your steed then." The Eldari then looked to the large man behind Andreas. "What about you? State your business." Andreas looked at the man. "He was sent to stop me. His masters are operating covertly in Serenity Valley, and necromancy is at work there." The Eldari's gaze was unwavering. "What say you to this?"

Lazurus' hmamer hit home, and took the man's leg out. He had no time to react to the palm strike, and was sent flying. Lazurus was mildly impressed as he managed to avoid the following flurry, but the uppercut sent him sprawling again. Lazarus retreived his hammer as the old man clambered back to his feet. Pacing left to right, he smiled. "You're tough Old Man, I'll give you that." He said, before raising his hammer and lunging. An arrow shot through the air, missing his leg by inches, and Lazarus jumped back from Andreas as a scouting party arrived on horseback. They trained their weapons on Andreas and Lazarus, but as the knight quickly explained his reasons, and how Lazarus was attempting to kill him, all eyes turned to him. Lazarus snorted. "Yeah, old Man's telling the truth. No point lying about it to dead men." The soldiers leveled their bows on him, and the leader stated firmly, "Drop your weapon, and come quietly, human."

Lazarus smiled maliciously. "Not a chance." He said. With a powerful burst of energy he shot towards Andreas, intending on ending him in a single mighty blow. With a roar, the Eldari scout's leader told his men to loose, and Lazarus felt pain rip through him as Several arrow's struck home in his chest, shoulder and leg. His leg gave out, and the soldiers dismounted as he tried to force himself to his feet. They circled around, three with spears levelled on him, blocking his path. "Surrender, human." The leader said again. Lazarus surged to his feet, swinging his hammer wildly at the man, and a spear was rammed into his leg. Another pierced his back, and a third his gut.

He toppled to his knees, as the leader drew his sword and walked forward, and brought the weapon level to his throat. Lazurus' hammer slipped from his bloody grip, as he reached up with one hand, taking the blade in his grip. He stared up at the man, and smiled. "Fuck you." He said, blood spilling from his mouth. The man ripped his sword free from Lazarus' hand and swung, but Lazarus' other hand had already pulled the crystal from his belt, and he slammed it into his heart. A burst of magic erupted from him, driving the men back, and Lazarus felt his body ripping itself appart as Lady Ariella's Crystal took effect.

The blast threw up a cloud of dust, and the four Eldari warriors watched warily as silence descended over the scene. The leader turned towards Andreas. "Mount up, we need to hurry." He said, taking a step towards his horse, before falling to pieces as something burst out of the dust cloud. The others turned in shock as a horror unlike anything Asmir had seen before stepped from the dust.



It was Lazarus in height and build, but also no longer Lazarus, and as It let out a roar one of the eldari scouts ran. It turned, lashing Its right arm which consisted of several bladed tentacles, towards the man and ripped him to pieces before spinning and cutting another in half with its blade arm. The third scout charged bravely, planting its spear in Lazarus' chest, to no effect. Omega Lazarus' right arm coalesced into a fist, and he flattened the man into the ground with a bloody crunch, before turning to Andreas as it ripped the spear free and tossed it aside. With a roar, Omera Lazarus jumped towards Andreas and attempted to slash him with the heavy blade arm, the wild swing throwing him off balance weather he hit or miss.

Andreas watched his pursuer to see what he would do. To his great surprise, however, the large man simply admitted to everything Andreas had said, not arguing in the least against the charges leveled at him. The hairs on the back of Andreas' neck stood up as he realised something was wrong. The man charged at Andreas, and was immediately struck by several arrows en route to his target. The Eldari dismounted and approached warily, and with good reason as the large man still tried to lunge at the lead scout. The Eldari perforated the man with their spears, and he fell to his knees. The leadscout approached the man with his sword aimed at the man's throat. Andreas still had a bad feeling about the whole thing. "Please... be careful..."

Suddenly, the large man produced a crystal and thrust it directly into his heart, and a shockwave burst forth and staggered everyone around him. Andreas watched in horror as a monstrocity emerged from the dust cloud unlike anything he had ever seen in all his years. By the looks of the Eldari scouts, they had not seen the like of it before either. The horror intensified as the monstrocity surged forth and attacked the Eldari scouts. One scout managed to skewer the creature through the chest with his spear, but the creature ignored it and flattened the man. The creature turned to Andreas, ripping the spear free and casting it aside as if it was a used toothpick.

Andreas stumbled backwards, facing certain death. But suddenly the thought of his children burst into his mind, followed by a vision of his late wife. They had always fought for what they believed in, and he could not let them down by surrendering here, not while he had breath in his chest. He stood and watched the creature surge forward, coming to eviscerate him. Andreas dived to the side on one leg and activated his Marble Trap, laying a field of metal spheres where he had stood in the hopes of making the creature slip. He then focused all of the power he could muster, drawing on his very lifeforce, and used what he had learned when constructing Goliath to create a massive humanoid figure out of conjured metal.
The figure was about 8 feet tall, and vaguely resembled a golem from the Kri'Lak Badlands. The golem turned to look at Andreas expectantly, and the Knight pointed to the creature. "He must be stopped." The golem made no outward sign of acknowledgement, simply turning to complete its assigned task. It threw two huge haymakers, one from each hand, before adding a downward axe-handle smash with both hands.

Omega Lazarus' swing missed, and as it stepped back to regain It's balance from the wild attacku, It stepped onto something round and lost its balance completely, its legs slipping from under it and Omega landed on it's back. It looked up as a metal golem formed before it. Andreas ordered the golem to attack, and as It surged to its feet It was met with a haymaker that knocked it back. It roared infrustration. A second followed and It blocked the punch with its tentacle arm. The thing followed up with an axe chop that Omega Lazarus blocked with It's blade arm, before attempting to wrap its tentacle arm around the metal golems left arm, and bring his blade arm down to hack into it. Following that Omega attempted to slam its shoulder into the golems midrift and force him out of the way, attempting to lash at Andreas with a pair of Bladed tentacles at the same time.

As hoped, the creature went flying when it stepped on the marble trap, but that was simply a bonus. But the main crux of the situation was the construct that was now fighting the creature in defense of its creator. Andreas couldn't believe how well the magic worked, though he didn't relax yet. His body wracked with pain from head-to toe and obviously carrying serious injuries, Andreas hauled himself to his feet and drew his crossbow. His knee gave out though, and he toppled to the ground. Andreas raised himself to a sitting position as his golem found one of its arms captured by the creature it fought. The creature raised its blade arm to try and sever the arm, but the golem used its free hand to seize the blade arm mid-swing. Locked in a stalemate, the creature drove its shoulder into the midsection of the golem, and then tried to use its blade tentacles to reach Andreas.

Andreas raised his Rampart ability again, blocking the tentacles with a thud. The tentacles were halted, but the power behind them was such that the shield shattered. Andreas called to his creation, not knowing how well his instructions would be followed. "Go for the tentacles!" The golem looked at Andreas, then turned to its task. It attempted to grasp the tentacle arm with both of its own colossal mitts. If it worked, the golem would heave with all of its considerable strength and attempt to haul the creature over its shoulder and slam into the ground by the appendage. I'f the grab fails, the golem would instead throw another pair of bigtime punches to the creatures head, before aiming a roundhouse kick to the head also.

The Golem blocked his blade and as they grappled, It attempted to lash at Andreas but its Tentacles were met with a shield. Then the Golem wrapped its hands around It's tentacle arm and hauled Omega Lazarus over it's shoulder, slamming Lazarus into the ground. Omega Lazarus wrapped it's Tentacles around The golem's arms and twisted to its feet, wrenching against the Golem. It shifted the golem, before Lifting it up and slamming it down into the ground, and lunged towards Andreas. It's Tentacles were still wrapped around the golem, but It still had the reach to lunge at Andreas, bringing it's massive blade straight down in an attempt to cut the man clean down the centre with a vicious roar.

Andreas peered through the disintegrating remains of his Rampart shield, and saw his golem slamming the nightmarish creature into the ground. Andreas' elation was short-lived however, as the creature hauled itself up and returned the favour, the golem hitting the ground with an almighty boom. The creature then went for Andreas again, menacing blade-arm advancing menacingly. Andreas yelled and activated his Repulse, in the hopes of at least staggering the creature's appendage. At the same time, the golem stood up and yanked on the tentacles that were still wrapped around its arm. The combination of the Repulse wave and the golem's strength meant that the creature came hurtling back towards the golem. The golem then used its free arm and swung it hard at the oncoming creature, aiming to connect with a thunderous lariat. Then, in a final effort to fulfill its master's commands, the golem mounted the prone creature, and began punching. Within seconds, the golem's piston like barrage had reduced the creature's head and shouulders to a pile of gore and bones. The golem stood up, blood dripping from its right arm as the creature's tentacles fell limp. It turned to face Andreas, as if waiting for more instructions. Andreas slumped heavily to the floor, body battered and completely spent, whistled and saw Roach approaching from the distance, but she was not alone.

So close, its blade hit the ground, landing inches from Andreas and nearly dismembering his member. It would have cut the man in half, repulse or no, but the golem had righted itself and with a mighty tug on the tentacles wrapped around its body, Omega Lazarus was pulled away. It spun, massive crystal blade swinging to cut the golem in half, but the golem ducked under the blade and smashed a heavy arm across it's chest, throwing it to the ground hard. It attempted to get its blade between it's face and the Golem's fists but the Golem ripped The weapon aside with one hand as it mounted Omega Lazarus' prone form, and smashed its other fist into Its face. Stunned, The other fist came down, and then several punches followed that crushed and broke and liquidated it's head. Its body thrashed violently for a moment, before finally going still.

From up the road, a thunder of hooves could be heard, and four eldari scouts on elegant horses arrived. They had seen more of their own horses fleeing the area, along with roach, who had cantered up to them and insistantly tried to lead them towards the fight. Upon arrival they found a metal golem towering over a massive ruined corpse of something terrible, several dead Eldari and a human lying in the dirt. The leader, a keen woman named Zirillia, jumped from her horse. "Secure the area, make sure there isn't anymore of that... thing.. Around." She ordered the others as she looked around, quickly putting together what had happened. She eyed the Golem, which continued to stand there passively, before kneeling down beside the human. She easily recognised the crest of a knight of Mondolin. "I can't think of many reason's why a knight of Mondolin would be out in Eldari lands, so it must be Important." She said. She looked at the way he was sitting, how he was holding his leg. "Are you hurt? I'm no Magi but I can heal cuts and broken bones." She added.

Zirillia looked around, noted the bodies with a frown. "I'm Zirillia. What exactly happened here, knight?" She asked, and began healing his leg. She listened to his story, nodding slowly. While it seemed bizarre, she took one look at the corpse nearby, and the destruction it's massive body had obviously wrought on the poor dead scouts, and decided to give the Human the benefit of the doubt. When his leg was healed, she whistled for the others. "Gather our brothers and sisters. I am going to take Knight Andreas to Minarion. I'll send reinforcments soon." She said, helping him up. His horse came over, nuzzling the man and she mounted up, waiting until he was ready to move, before leading him to Minarion where she could organise transport to the golden citidel.
