Yokuda as a city started during the early days of the Kijin Empire. It was a project originally proposed by the Kijin hero, Murakumo. He passed away during its construction. The city is split into six sections, each governed by one of the five Noble Clans, and they are also named after the clans. The six sections are the Sanada Quarter, the Nakamura Quarter, the Tsuno Quarter, the Arisato Quarter, the Shino Quarter, and the Tomoshibi Quarter. The quarters are quite large, and each quarter holds a palace in the middle of them, housing the Noble Clans themselves. In the center of Yokuda, the statue of Murakumo stands, and directly behind it is where the Grand Council meets. It is a large building, as it is also the barracks for the Lotus. The main feature of the cave that Yokuda City is in, is a massive, golden globe on the roof of the cavern. It acts as the Kijin’s “sun”, and has been in the cave longer than the Kijin have existed. No one knows what its true purpose is, but it has become a normal part of Kijin life. On that note, it may seem strange to visitors of Yokuda.

  • The Endless Caverns

The myriad tunnels and crevices that spread from the main Yokuda City cavern like a demented spider's web. Only a fraction of the cave network has been mapped, with the Kuroi-Tsuno clan and the indigenous wildlife posing considerable hazards for would-be explorers. The Kuroi-Tsuno presence is well-documented, but the labyrinth of tunnels they call home has allowed them to evade detection and capture for centuries.
