Name: Jove Lockwind
Age: Early twenties, late teens

Sex: Male
Personality: Jove is an optimistic man, looking at the situations life deals out and is always glad to make his way through most conversations with a glass half-full mind-set. This optimism aids in driving his adventurous spirit and his goals towards fruition. While he has a rather rational mindset that'd fit in to most societies he stands by a few ideals that he refuses to back down on, rather common ideals, though he's more of a devout believer in character than appearance. This belief has gotten him into his fair share of trouble with bandits and the like in the past. With an imaginative mind for color, Jove's adventures began with his love of arts and the world around him. The beautiful views and vista's of the wild world were as an open encyclopedia of wonders to see and take in. A playful man by nature, Jove tends to set his own pace, tending to not rush issues at hand and to allow everything to happen in it's own due time, though on occasion when push comes to shove Jove understands what it means to wrangle himself in and be serious and focused. An extrovert by nature, he tends to grow uneasy and anxious the longer he stays away from a group of individuals he knows of has interacted with on a fairly regular basis, however when he's part of a group he enjoys to be right alongside the life of the party, and if need be, the life of it.

Jove's a courageous attitude, blindly marching out into the world each day to find new places to detail and burn into his memory. While sometimes this courage can be put to good use in looking to aid others for a spot of cash, it's more often than not rather stupid. Commonly putting himself in more danger than he can handle, this same courage lets him stare death in the eye long enough to know he has screwed up and needs to high tail it. This trait of brazenly bravely courage is due simply in put to his own confidence in his attributes, physically and mentally, to understand the world around him. This same confidence allows him to tackle more difficult situations without tip-toeing his away around them. Usually Jove is rather clever, usually able to see through most tricks and able to come up with the occasional good prank. Though he can be naïve and easy to take advantage of through the use of children, being a rather empathetic individual Jove will go out of his way to aid them. Usually rather caring and empathetic, Jove rarely is guided by angrier emotions, knowing and understanding both sides of the world. Jove comes off rather neat in initially meeting him, however it quickly can become apparent how messy and unorganized a person he is, be it from the difficulty to remain seated, or the need to constantly be out and about. His own home is a mess, with things thrown about the place, oddly organized through small merits like color or shape, pants or shirts, paper or canvas.

Appearance


Height: 5'10"
Weight: 168lb
Appearance: With a clear complexion as pure as fallen snow across his face, Jove's golden wheat colored skin is spotted with various scars and scratches that his body has suffered over the years of journeying, though none necessarily draw the eye. A life driven with the pursuit of adventure helped develop and tone his muscles across his chest and torso, though no real exceptional muscle shows in his arms. An unruly mop of golden brunette hair sits atop his head. His bangs hanging down to chin in the front when they aren't swept off to the sides of his face out of the way of two, typically, emerald green eyes. Depending on the weather and day Jove's eye's tend to be more like citrine, a mixture of brown and green.
Clothing: Jove's typical attire is nothing too special. Usually donning a t-shirt with a jacket, a pair of pants with a belt, then depending on whether he's adventuring or relaxing, a pair of flip-flops or shoes.

Fighting style


General Fighting Tactics: When thrown into combat Jove is the sort to attempt to hold his own an ascertain the situation. Be it having to hold off an assault from close range or to keep his distance and avoid a magical assault, Jove does not like to be the first to extend his hand, erring to remain typically within a mid-range distance and using his secondary weapon to aid in gauging his opponents abilities. Once he has grown confident, or satisfied he prefers to close the distance and fight using his primary weapon and abilities at hand. When not functioning as a vanguard for himself, Jove tends to fill a more supportive role in fights. Keeping an eye out on enemy movement and attempting to fill in the defensive gaps created by offensive maneuvers.

Strengths:Magical power, Jove's innocent bewilderment with the world stems from his spiritual connections to the flow of his own magic, and the power it grants him. Trained to fight with spears, rather deft and capable with his hands, being good with small throwing knives and needles.

Weaknesses: Fire/Heat; no one enjoys being hot, sweaty, and exhausted and Jove does not handle well in such conditions, (Heat exposure causes exhaustion limit to come faster). Bad CQC, Jove is good at keeping his enemies at the end of his spear, however those that are able to get past and stay within distance tend to be Jove's bane.

Primary Equipment I
Name: Vim Fluxus
Type: Large Magical Weapon
Description: Roughly seven feet of solid divinium that was shaped into a fine bright red spear, wrapped around the ruby shaft in several locations are talismans meant to seal the enchantment of the weapon within themselves.

Enchantments: Magical Bypass ; when the spear is positioned to be thrown or launched (throwing with the foot/other body part) Jove is able to remove the seals upon the spear. Before the spear takes flight the seals form a "ring" that the spear passes through empowering it to pass through magic, be it an attack or a shield, the spear would seemingly create an opening for the spear alone to pass through. 3 post cooldown.

An example would be, a magical bubble would not pop, but the contents inside the bubble would still be pierced by the spear. If one were to raise a magical shield and a physical shield to block the spear, the spear would simply pass through the magical shield, not consuming any charges it would consume to attempt to block something, and be blocked as well as one could with the physical shield.




Primary Equipment II
Name: Lateri Recta
Type: Large Magical Weapon
Description: A five foot yellow spear made of divinium, similar to the previous spear.
Enchantments: Flanked Shaves; Jove is capable of creating two similar five foot spears that levitate and float in place alongside him, each moving in command to the yellow spear as their leader. Jove is capable of commanding the flanking spears to create runic symbols for him up to a distance of 15ft. These spears levitate for two posts, in which they move in coordination with the yellow spear to stab or guard, after those two posts it goes on a four post cooldown.

Type: Light armor
Description: A light brown jerkin that ties up along the front for ease of donning, a similarly colored belt and pouch accompany the jerkin. A pair of dark brown leather vambraces, a singular elbow guard typically worn on the right side with a singular leather pauldron as well.

Type: Offensive
Damage Category: Weak
Description: Taking the tip of his finger, spear, or other pointing instrument, Jove is capable of etching a magical rune onto a surface, he's capable of etching these runes onto any surface besides special materials, and is incapable of placing runes on organic matter, or materials worn by sentient beings. Drawing a " < " shape on the surface, the rune activates after a few moments becoming a proximity ward, if any movement is detected within five feet of the rune it begins to glow a bright red before igniting a 5ft diameter around it for weak damage. Jove is capable of withholding the activation of a rune, or set timers for when the runes go off, however he needs to decide when creating the rune. At any one time Jove is capable of maintaining his concentration on two Incendium runes.
Cooldown: 1 post cooldown, 1 point maintain concentration, maximum 2 points.

Name: Runic Alphabet: Gelida (Frozen)
Type: Offensive
Damage Category: Weak
Description: Taking the tip of his finger, spear, or other pointing instrument, Jove is capable of etching a magical rune onto a surface, he's capable of etching these runes onto any surface besides special materials, and is incapable of placing runes on organic matter, or materials worn by sentient beings. Jove is capable of withholding the activation of a rune, or set timers for when the runes go off, however he needs to decide when creating the rune. Drawing a " | " shape on the surface, the rune activates after a few moments becoming a proximity ward, any movement detected within three feet of the rune triggers it, causing an icy blue light to pour forth the rune. The rune immediately releases a freezing mist creating jutting icicle spears out to three feet from the origin of the rune, each only as thick as a man's wrist. At any one time Jove is capable of maintaining his concentration on two Gelida runes.
Cooldown: 1 post cooldown, 1 post maintain concentration, maximum 2 points.

Name: Custos Caeli
Element: Wind
Description: The user is skilled in the manipulation of a chosen element. They can manipulate their element in several ways like throwing out waves, balls and blasts that can travel up to 50ft, or shoot it as small projectiles up to 130ft. Elemental manipulation attacks deal damage based on that element. Larger blasts and waves deal average damage but travel slower, and smaller projectiles travel faster and deal less damage.

Gossamer wings of wind sprout from the middle of Jove's back when he activates his command over the winds around him. When gathering the wind to use for various attacks he'll typically use his main spear as the focal point, tending to launch most blasts from the tip of the spear, or from alongside it. The wings serve no purpose besides a visual queue for the powers activation and deactivation.

Duration/Cooldown: 3 post duration with power points reduced by 2 for the duration, 4 post cooldown.
