Eldari: Appearance and Nature Empty Eldari: Appearance and Nature

Hailing from Sindaron, The Green Island, the Eldari are far and away most graceful race in Asmir Ka'lesa. The Eldari usually have moderately tanned skin, though some have been known to have darker skin. They usually stand between 5 and a half feet to 6 and a half feet tall, with some a little shorter than that. All Eldari have the same piercing yellow eyes and pointed ears, and their hair varies from brown to blonde to red, but turns silver when an Eldari reaches venerable age. Their facial structure closely resembles humans, albeit with much more delicate features. While a majority of the Eldari populace are inclined towards either the study and application of magic and the supernatural, or the intricacies of swordsmanship, it is in the arts that the Eldari find a unifying force. Form and function are intertwined in every aspect of Eldari design, from their architecture to their weaponry.

Eldari are the longest lived of the races, generally living for eight centuries, some even live up to a millennium. They do not age in the same way that the other races do, with the only indication of old age being the Eldari's hair. Their long lifespans mean that there are many Eldari that have experienced most of the history of Asmir Ka'lesa, including the many periods of war and peace. They shared a symbiotic relationship with their Eldross kin, trading metals and jewelry in exchange for exotic foods and wood. However, when the Eldross were decimated when the Forest of Harodiel was destroyed by dark forces, the Eldari integrated the remnants of their shattered kin into their own society, turning to the Humans. They enjoy a amiable relationship with the citizens of the Human town of Minarion which exists just within the Eldari borders, as well as the Order of the Sun, the small Human faction that advocates cooperation between the races.

The Eldari enjoy a secluded existence on their home island, as The Green Island is very difficult for unauthorized parties to access. As well as the mythical Cerulean Rift providing a natural barrier, the Eldari have also introduced a magical supplement to aid the defense of the sea. Any vessel or presence that is not Eldari or Eldross in make is mercilessly attacked and brutalized by the sea. However, a race as old and wise as the Eldari are not naive enough to rely solely on geographical defenses for security. Based in the Damerlond, the massive building in the center of the Golden City, the Eternal Watch presides over the Eldari land, safeguarding its borders from would-be intruders.
