Personality: A bit more pragmatic, and certainly much more quiet about his own displeasure, Shade is much more measured and deliberate than Alura. That said, he can certainly think on his feet when it comes to his missions. Though he does seem to rely too much on his shadow abilities. He's a force to be reckoned with in his own right. When it comes to information gathering, he uses pretty much anything and any way to get what he needs. Though he's also aware that some techniques may bring about inaccurate information. That in mind, he always double-checks it. He's the person Alura goes to for advice and to vent. Likewise, she's the person he goes to when he's having issues of his own.

He was in full support of her interfering with Rex's ordeal. And the boy took to the training well. But also feels like she's coddled him a little. That said, she also set up a program for him when/if she passes before she could more properly instruct him. And Shade is more than willing to put it to the test. He isn't one to take people's shit lying down. And with his stealth capability, he can often get revenge/justice without ever being caught. Suspected, maybe. He's almost cold otherwise, unless he's worked with certain people extensively. Like with Sigurd and Hargen. He's often the Primoris Rex's bodyguard/enforcer, and is a role he has taken great pride in. Even when he's not in agreement with Alura.

He has a similar distaste in incompetence, and while he has disapproved of some that have been promoted or put enough pressure to promote certain individuals, there was at least some silver lining in their personalities or conduct. But he had never been as floored to see Armagand Kor promoted to the Elite Guard. The man had no leadership ability, no real respect. Just fear. And while potent as a weapon, any other use of it was brittle. And had set out to try to mitigate any damage the man might do. Shade doesn't otherwise interfere with others' business much. Not unless real concerns crop up, and is validated. And he's swift to react to such news/investigations.

Likes/dislikes: Food, the color black, horns. People who get into positions they didn't earn/not a good fit at, incompetence, politicians.
Fears: Bugs, an actual invasion of their homelands, another civil war.

Appearance

height: 6'7"
weight: 311 lbs.
Appearance: Tall, broad, and rippling with muscle, he is not usually a man you miss. Jet black hair, tanned skin, slitted red eyes, and a single long bull like horn sticking out the side of his head that curved around that got in the way of his vision. He did often skulked in the background, more often than not to look intimidating, almost daring anyone to try something.
clothing: Mostly dark colors is what he wore, and he hardly ever took off his battle gauntlets. Even when off duty. His uniform and cape is often what he wore off the field. and on the field ditched the cape, and stuck with light leather armor that was mostly black.

Background

History: Not much to say. Born and raised in Upper Edia, he enrolled in the premier academy. His family was very minor, and had little influence. He met Alura in the academy, and was one of two people who could actually hold their own against her. Unlike the other one, he actually liked her enough to get to know her. And soon became her friend. And had been his oldest and dearest friend. He often accompanied her with a small cadre of scouts and information gatherers, and worked up through the ranks to Sicarious. Much to the surprise of most, he has an impressive battle record, often attached to Alura. Both as a battle buddy and guard. He is also one of Rex's mentors, and probably the one the young lad had the most time with, besides Alura.
